3rd Fill out our Adoption Application and mail it to us.

Hello, My name is Gracie. I am a 5yr old Sorrel Pony Mare. I would say I am about 12hh. I was rescued by BHFER from a Kill Buyer Auction in OH with the help of the Freinds Of Barbaro and AC4H. I arrived at PSER on March 20th 2008. I am a very smart and sensitive filly, a in your pocket type pony. I will make a Experienced Child or small adult a great friend:.) I would not be suitable for a beginner at this time as I can be a bit on the dominate side. And can nip If I feel threatened. I just want to be loved and treated with respect.

My Angel is Jeanne she is a part of the wounderful ABR message board, The Friends of Barbaro

This is Nelly she is a 20yr old Reg. AQHA mare. She is around 15hh, sound and healthy. She has no vices on the ground, she leads, loads, ties, stands ground tied, picks up her feet, very easy to get along with. She is trained under saddle and has a very nice trot, the kinda trot you could ride for Hours with out bouncing at all. She just floats. She is a great trail horse and is good for anyone at the walk. Very controllable and goes wherever you ask her to. At the trot she can kick out a little when fist asked but after that she is good to go and will go until you ask her back down to a walk. If asked to canter she will do a little Buck, we will have the chiropractor out soon to see if its a pain issue or not. But at this time I would say she is a good horse is you just want to walk and trot, but she would prefer not to canter. She would love to be a trail buddy for someone who just likes to take a slow relaxing ride. Adoption fee is $350.00

This is Amaya she was born here to a Blind POA mare. I am told her dad was a Mustang Quarter horse Cross. Amaya was born a Grulla like her mom but shedded out solid Black. She has been handled since birth and has very good ground manners. She is a Left Brained extrovert, very smart and playful with a strong will. She would make a great 4H pony with a child with horse knowledge, not for the total beginner as she is still learning herself. Or would make a good hunter pony, good for trails or just about anything you want to train her for. Would be suitable for a small adult as well. She stands 13hh and will be turning two in March 2009. The bobo on my leg is now healed.

Adoption fee is $500.00

This is Midnight he is a 16yr young solid black Morgan Gelding. He is super sweet, with very good ground manners. He saddles great and is a great trail horse for a Novice to Advanced rider. He has a great Trot a very nice canter and will stop on a dime! Neck reins, backs, pivots, and is very calm and brave. He is a Left Brained Introvert will stay at a walk or a stand still if rider is not sure of themselves but will get up and go if you ask. His only vices are that he is a Cribber, but with a cribbing collar he stops, and he has a bit of a head tossing problem, but that is nothing that we cant fix with some riding time and light hands and a dental check up. He is sound, healthy and a very easy keeper.

This is Mysti a Reg. 5yr old AQHA Red Dun mare. She is about 14.3hh and built like a bull dog. She is in Parelli Level two on the ground and is started under saddle. She is still green though and needs a experienced rider.

This is Blue Boy, a 5yr old, 16+ hh Blue roan Shire/TB cross Gelding. He came to us off a PMU ranch in NH off the Canada Boarder. The rancher is closing down and lost the lease on some of his land so he is going to run 150 horses throw auctions, these horses will most likely end up at the Canada slaughter houses. We decided to help Blue out of this horrible situation, along with the help of the Friends Of Barbaro who raised the money for his shipping! Thank you to all the FOB’s who got him safe to us!  He is a total sweet hart and now runs over for cookies and love. He was totally unhanded when he arrived so we are taking his training slow. He will now lead, stand for grooming and pick up his feet, we will be working on lunging and loading in a trailer next:.)Click on his page to keep updated on his training.

This is Little Bill a 10yr old paint gelding. When he came here he was extremely thin, and had rain rot everywhere. His hair has now grown back and he has gained Allot of much needed weight. He still has some to go but is looking and feeling much better. He is such a sweet boy with a Puppy dog attitude. He will follow you every where, he is just always in your pocket. Has good ground manners as well and we will be riding him soon to see how he dose.

This is Fancy she is a 3yr old APHA mare. She will be for adoption after 30 days of training time.

This is Bunny a 16yr old TB mare who was purchased and surrendered to us by a concerned equine lover on 09/05/2008. She is a bit underweight and is covered in rain rot but is healing everyday. She has a Tatoo so we will look that up soon. She is around    16.1hh and built stocky. She has large knee’s, a previous injury maybe from the track, but from what we can see is sound. She has not been lame at all in the pasture. She would make a Great trail riding buddy. We are told she was trail ridden perviously and we will put that to the test when she feels better. She is super sweet with good ground manners and no vices as of yet.

Adoption fee is $250.00 at this time

This is Chloe a 11yr old TB mare who was purchased and surrendered to us by a concerned equine lover on 09/05/2008. She is a Very underweight and is covered in rain rot but is healing everyday. She has no tatoo and we were told she was a broodmare for awhile. We were also told she was trail ridden at one time. She is super sweet and very pretty. Has clean legs and should be able to do anything you want her to do. She has great ground manners, stands to be bathed and groomed and picks up her feet. We will know more about her training under saddle as she feels better.

This is Echo a 9y old APHA registred gelding. He is about 15.2hh and a sorrel Overo. He is super sweet and has very good ground manners. Leads, loads, ties, baths, stands for farrier, vet, ect... He has a tendon injury and is in rehab for 6 months, after that he will start into a exercise program and we will see where to go from their with him. He is a very smart Left Brained Extrovert that will take advantage of a beginner or timid rider and has been known to rear. But with a good rider that can provide him with leadership he is a very good boy and we believe will make a great trail horse after his rehab.

This is Flower a 20yr old TWH mare. she may be pregnant for a 2009 foal by a AQHA stallion. If she is she will not be available for adoption until her baby is born and weaned. We will know soon after a palpation is done by our vet. She is also very sick at the moment with a respiratory infection, please pray for her full recovery and for her possible unborn foal. We will keep you updated on her progress.
