Our Mission is to rescue, retrain and re-home equines that are no longer wanted or useful to their owners and place them in homes where they ARE wanted and needed again. Most Importunely Painted Star Equine Rescue will only adopt a horse to a Loving and positive environment that is mutually beneficial to both horse and human.
What We Do:
Painted Star Equine Rescue INC. rescues horses from being auctioned for slaughter, takes in horses that have been sized by the state of Florida, and takes custody of horses abandoned by their owners and takes in Owner surrendered horses . We rehabilitate and train horses for use as companion animals, riding horses and therapy horses that are then available for adoption to the general public with approval. We specialize in Equine behavior psychology , Helping Horses that have been physically and/or mentally abused and horses with dominance issues, helping them to overcome their Insecurities and fears so they can make safe Equine partners and find new loving homes. Painted Star Equine Rescue offers education programs to help educate new horse owners with respect to proper care, management and Natural horsemanship training teniques. Education clinics and demonstrations are presented to the general public on issues such as veterinary care, shoeing, safety, Natural Horsemanship training, riding, and neglect and cruelty to animal issues. The purposes of Painted Star Equine Rescue are exclusively charitable, scientific or educational.
